On November 15th, 2007, 16-year-old Fe Hadley lured her ex-boyfriend to a local store with the intent to kill. However, she didn’t plan to be the one to kill him. She recruited another ex and his friend to do the deed.

This is the story of how even “young love” can take a dark twist.

Who Was Involved?

In Benton City, Washington, Fe Hadley was a 16-year-old girl with a broken heart, or so she said. She was angry that her ex-boyfriend, Ryan Vaughn, broke up with her.

That anger would be the catalyst for her to recruit two classmates, Jeremiah Cunningham (another ex-boyfriend) and Gabriel Pfliger, in hopes of murdering her latest ex.

The Plan

Fe hatched the plan to kill her latest ex, Ryan, through Facebook messengers with classmates Jeremiah and Gabriel. Jeremiah had previously dated Fe, and hoping to impress her and win her back, he eagerly agreed to the plan to kill Ryan.

According to their Facebook messengers, the plan had been for Fe to lure Ryan to Ki-Be Red Apple Market, a local store, away from their school.

Jeremiah’s role was to wait nearby and ambush Ryan from behind and then stab him with a large knife. Gabriel’s role was to bring a wooden stake and be a lookout.

After, they planned to drag his body to a ditch and leave it there.

The Attempted Murder

On November 15th, 2007, Fe lured Ryan to Ki-Be Red Apple Market, initiating the plan. He was hesitant to meet her at first, but she enticed him by claiming they could “have a little fun” and he could anything he wanted to her…

These sexual promises lured him to the market. However, Gabriel, their lookout did not show up.
